Who We Are...

Here's the page that tells you  how many millions of years experience we have, what our credentials are, and why you should come here for help.
So... Let's look at that.

FIRST: "We" is "Me".

(good lookin' ain't he?)

I am the guy writing this.  But the "We" is true in a certain sense.  It is only I and the many people who have trained me over the last 6 years or so since I got my first computer.  Many kind and patient people -- in chat, in person, and in  e-mail -- helped me move from   "Newbie" to "Not Such a Newbie".  So there is the "We".

That said....

SECOND:  I am NOT a computer scientist, systems analyst,  A+,  MSCE,  or Novell certified.  I don't know a thing about:

Intersystemic Crossplatform Nonfragmentious Networking
(neither does anybody else, cause I just made that up) :-)

BECAUSE:   I don't have any of those initials before or after my name.

BECAUSE:  I am a regular person  JUST LIKE YOU -- except I already learned it the hard way -- hands on -- staying up until one or two (or later) in the morning trying to get it going again after I tweaked it the wrong way.  I've had 6 years or so  being up to my  elbows in virtual alligators.  I know how hard it is when you don't know anything, or worse yet when you know just enough to be dangerous.

To help repay all those who spent so much time helping me know which end was up, I am trying to spread the wealth and  spare others the difficult part of the education I got.  There will be many things I do not know.   But --  I know many others who may know and many other resources who will know how to help us find the answers.

THIRD:  There will be something for most of us here -- or attached by the links -- throughout the site.  If you just took your computer out of the box and this is your first few minutes online:  WELCOME.  If you are years on the net and still have questions about this or that: WELCOME.  For those of us who are somewhere in between  ..... no longer Newbies but not Experts....... WELCOME.

We welcome questions, comments, suggestions and editorial contributions from those of you who are so inclined.  Let's help each other learn.
